The Department of Pediatrics at WVU is seeking a clinically focused faculty member (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) to join our Pediatric Infectious Diseases Division at our state-of-the-art WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital.
Position Highlights:
Collaborative team environment: Join a supportive group of three full-time faculty in a collegial and academic setting.
Clinical + teaching role: Provide care in a very active inpatient practiceand ambulatory care program; teach med students, residents, and fellows.
Research support: Opportunities in clinical/translational research and global health/tropical medicine programs.
Leadership opportunities: Help lead Antibiotic Stewardship & Infection Prevention programs.
Cutting-edge facilities: 150-bed WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital featuring:
NICU (54 beds), PICU (26 beds), dedicated Cancer Center & ORs
Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center with plans for Level 1
Only pediatric cardiac surgery and epilepsy monitoring program in WV
Requirements:
MD, DO, or MD/PhD (foreign equivalent accepted)
Completed pediatric or peds/internal med residency
Board certified in Pediatrics; subspecialty certification expected
Eligible for a West Virginia medical license
